The Tour de Tohoku Cycling Event is Back!
The Tour de Tohoku is a yearly cycling event organized by Yahoo Japan Corporation and Kahoku Shimpo Co., Ltd. since 2013 to support the region’s recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake. During this event, the goal is not to finish the fastest, but rather to fully enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes and delicious cuisines that the Tohoku Region is blessed with. The Tour de Tohoku was set up as an annual event taking place over a 10-year period, allowing participants to admire the regions recovery progress over the years with their own eyes. Due to Covid, the Tour de Tohoku was unfortunately canceled these past three years, but it is finally making a comeback this year!
