The Halloween Marché comes to Sendai this weekend. Held in the Tatemachi area across the street from Sendai Mediatheque as a part of the Jozenji Living Street Project, this event invites participants to come dressed up in their best halloween costumes! Suitable for children, families, and adults alike, Halloween Marché 2022 features candy giveaways for the first 100 children who arrive in costume, hands-on workshops, as well as a wide variety of stalls selling fresh produce, handmade goods, and more. Some stores will be participating in a stamp rally where you can win prizes such as mini margherita pizzas, and other items!

2. Sendai "Wanko" Halloween Marché

An exclusive pet-friendly halloween event will be held at the Nishikigaoka Hillside Mall this weekend! You'll find a wide variety of items for your fur babies, from hand crafted pet goods, to accessories, to additive-free treats, to massages, and even workshops. Don't miss out in this unique event in Sendai on October 23!
Note: "Wanko" is a very colloquial and cute term used in Japanese to refer to pet dogs.

3. Halloween Stardust Disco Night

Looking to get your groove on but during the halloween season? Then you don't want to miss the Halloween Stardust Disco Night hosted by Jukebox Time Machine! In the spirit of the spooky season, those who come to the event dressed in halloween costumes will receive a one-drink service! It has to be an actual costume though, from head to toe, a simple devil headband or something of the like doesn't count!

4. Halloween Party: Sentai Wasshoi Nishikigaoka Hillside Mall Marché
(仙臺わっしょい 錦ケ丘ヒルサイドモールマルシェ)
The Sendai Wasshoi event returns again this fall! Wasshoi is the call made when a large number of people are carrying a heavy object together, such as a Mikoshi portable shrine during Japanese matsuri. In any case, it is the sound of spirits being uplifted and celebration. On October 30, come enjoy a stage filled with singing and dancing alongside a halloween-costume fashion show will be held at the same time. Anyone is welcome to perform on stage, both children and adults alike. Don't be shy and come strut your stuff while you show off your spooky halloween costumes!
