The fall foliage in Matsushima has begun to change which means the coming weeks are a great time to check out the fantastic annual light up event at Entsuin!
The beautiful gardens and mausoleum of Entsuin Temple, which is dedicated to Date Masamune’s grandson, Date Mitsumune, are lit up every evening until Nov. 19th, showcasing breathtaking fall colors. In addition, there are live musical performances of classical Japanese and western instruments every night, creating a truly magical atmosphere.
Not surprisingly, this is a popular event! We recommenend planning ahead if you are visiting on the weekend - it's worth it!
